13th International Conference on HIV Treatment and Prevention Adherence, 2018
Adherence 2018 (13th International Conference on HIV Treatment and Prevention Adherence) took place June 8-10, 2018, at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel in Miami, FL, USA. Sponsored by the International Association of Providers of AIDS Care (IAPAC), this annual series of conferences features the presentation and discussion of HIV treatment and biomedical prevention adherence research, as well as current behavioral and clinical perspectives in practicum, within the context of achieving an optimized continuum of HIV care and prevention.
Adherence 2018 focused on state-of-the-science evidence on best practices and key lessons learned in the field of HIV treatment and prevention adherence since Adherence 2017, and provide a forum for discussions about practical, real-world implementation of behavioral, clinical, structural, and other interventions to maximize the therapeutic and preventative effects of anti-retroviral agents.
APIN was well represented at this international conference through CDC’s support and funding for oral presentations. As a presenting author, Mrs. Adeola; the Health Informatics Team Lead at APIN made an oral presentation on “Retention on Treatment among Adult Patients Transferring between ART Services in Nigeria”
